Budapest spring fair

Budapest is awakening from its winter-long sleep, sun starts to shine brighter and streets are getting filled with people. It’s this time of the year again!  And our lovey Hungarian capital has plenty to offer to celebrate the spring coming. One of the major markets has just opened bringing the festive mood back to the city. Make sure to visit this wonderful Budapest spring fair that is located at Vörösmarty tér.  It is not only one of the largest markets, but a great place to get in touch with the local cuisine, arts, crafts and music.

Spring market opening hours and dates

Budapest spring fair will last for about a month, starting from March 23 till April 22. It will be operating every day in the following opening hours; from Friday till Sunday from 10 AM till 9 PM, while on Saturday it opens from 10 AM till 10 PM. However, keep in mind that craft fair operates one hour less than stands with food and drinks.

Music and theatrical performances

The other great highlights of Budapest spring fair are concerts and theatrical performances taking place on the main stage. The admission is obviously free, so all the visitors can enjoy traditional and contemporary Hungarian music and dances. These kinds of performances take place every weekend from 5 PM till 8 PM.  And of course there are special performances for children each Saturday and Sunday at 10 and 11.30 AM.
